Rooted in Scottish Horticulture
Dobbies was founded by James Dobbie in Scotland in 1865. The business developed from its horticultural roots into a garden centre retailer, building its range around plants, gardening equipment and products for outdoor living.
Over time, Dobbies expanded into a larger garden centre business with homeware, food and hospitality alongside gardening products. It has undergone significant restructuring in recent years, and some former Dobbies sites now operate under other garden centre brands. Check the current store finder for locations and facilities.
